A mainland company in Dubai is essentially an onshore company that has received its license from Dubai Economy and Tourism Department (DET). Billing is direct and can be done under the registered company. DET issues licenses with physical office space.
● Dubai Free Zone business
Free Zone businesses can avail some of the specific advantages which includes 0% tax on income, 0% customs duty, and 100% foreign ownership, without the requirement to find a local partner. They can trade or service with other companies in their free zone or a company located in any other free zone within UAE and internationally. However, they cannot trade directly with companies that have registered businesses with offices in mainland areas.
What are the Benefits to get a DET permit for your Free Zone License ?
Free Zone businesses are not permitted to trade directly with customers in Dubai and the UAE mainland, however, with a DET Permit for your trade license in Dubai, you receive the opportunity to legally trade with other companies in Meydan Free Zone, other UAE based free zones and internationally.
The DET Permit is issued by the Dubai Economy and Tourism Department, and while protecting your company from non-compliance which can lead to fines of as much as AED 100,000, it also gives the business access to a larger market of suppliers and customers.
